I find tapatalk a pain. So was planning to wait until I got back to a computer. But trying on my iPad on chrome. Seems to be ok but miss the keyboard.
We made it across. Barely. He was not going to allow guests until he discovered 2of the guests were American. At one point I tried to show him our vaccination papers and he said “Sir, you are in the United States now. We don’t care about that. Save those for the Canadians”. Best border guard quote ever.
Its quite a different world down here. Everything is open. No masks. Saw a baseball game on Sunday. It will be hard to go back to COVID prison next week.
Oh, we have a new granddaughter. Born yesterday. 9lbs 4 oz 21 ins.

Agreed. I think it sucks big time. My band has been using a ProBoards forum for years. I still have the original ProBoards app and it keeps getting passed on from phone to phone from Google Backup. But if it ever stops moving to new devices, I still won't use Tapatalk. It's trash.

LOL
we have a new granddaughter.
Congrats!

I'm on tapatalk pretty much all time, except for when I type up a top 40 countdown
My issue with it is if I open it and only read some threads it clears the notifications on my pc and I may miss something. It also can be hours behind sometimes with notifications. I do like the notifications which is why it’s still on my phone.

I gave up on tapatalk when I started getting phones with larger screens. I thought it was helpful when I didn't have a lot of viewing area, but with the larger phones came better browsers and I didn't really find it much of an improvement.

We are back home. Came in last evening. Full day of thunderstorms that seemed to follow us around. Made an 8 hour drive 14 hours. The Canadian government rules for re-entry are crazy. It also feels like I have just been re-admitted to the covid jail that I escaped from almost 2 weeks ago. I will miss open restaurants, movie theatres and to not have to worry if I forgot my mask.

Most of us at work are verified to be in the facility without a mask. Every public place (other than doctor's offices and hospitals) has dropped the mask. It's almost like it never happened. But then I see news about the Tokyo Olympics, and realize Japan's only like 15% vaxxed. I don't realize what's going on elsewhere.

Here in Ontario, the stats 1 week before we left was 75% single does, 15% double. But they have been blizing both first and second does since then. I would expect both numbers to be higher by now. 15% sounds scary low ... low enough to not have an international sporting event.

Did your work require you all to show proof of vaccination to go mask-less? I guess I understand the reasoning but I'm not a huge a fan of that.

Yes, we had to fill-out a form, and have it signed by our supervisor or HR rep. They needed our vax card as proof, before they'd sign the form. People who are not fully vaccinated must wear a mask.
