Best #1 Song of the 70s - I like this, although IRBS would do his "I didn't listen to music until '77" shtick (we're the same age, and I go back to '69), and sadchild would have a lot of ???, plus Koop and Wolf would either skip it or pass a lot.
Favorite Various Musician Categories - This could be good; drummer, lead singer, guitarist. There would be a lot of arguing.
Favorite Various TV Show Categories - I like this, but I see 2 problems: 1) Some of us go back to the 50s and 60s, but others don't; 2) people like sadchild don't watch TV.
And many of these comments are what make these things the madness.....Best #1 Song of the 70s - I like this, although IRBS would do his "I didn't listen to music until '77" shtick (we're the same age, and I go back to '69), and sadchild would have a lot of ???, plus Koop and Wolf would either skip it or pass a lot.
Best #1 Song of the 90s - I love music from the '90s, but the top 40 was already getting pretty horrible by then. So I don't know about this.
Best Instrumentals - I assume these would have to be songs that made the Billboard pop charts, otherwise I could list a thousand pieces nobody has heard of.

Movie Soundtracks - This would probably work.
Music Videos - In order to do this, the videos would have to be posted.
I would watch this every roundTaking a survey and looks like Best #1 Song of the 70s is the majority of the vote
I would watch this every round
Hmm. It seems like somebody mentioned that recently. There actually are a lot pre-1977 that I do not recognize.
I had thought I had heard most but I guess I haven't really paid as close attention to the older countdowns. Still plenty I recognize.Hmm. It seems like somebody mentioned that recently.

I could go for a 90s followupTaking a survey and looks like Best #1 Song of the 70s is the majority of the vote with the 90's behind it.
Could Tiny Tim be count as a insect? The Beatles' name is misspelled so I don't know if they would count – but there are other rock groups named after insects: Papa Roach, Moth, Locust, Silkworm, Spider, Centipede, Crickets, Katydids, Kingbees, Fireflies, Scorpions, Iron Butterfly, Adam & The Ants, The Bird & The Bee and Alien Ant Farm,
I plan on doing the 90s, not at anytime soon.I could go for a 90s followup
