I watched episode 1 this morning. Looks interesting, not sure why it was in the Comedy category in the Emmy's but looking forward to see why.

Analyze This is a really fun watch.
It's filled with amazing De Niro one liners. I'm 33 mins in and so far I have audibly laughed out loud at least 4 times. Like obnoxiously loud HAHAs and I'm in my living room alone.
I'm pretty sure I saw this in the theater when it came out in '99 but of course I haven't retained any of the jokes after all that time, just the overall premise.

Gotta few new ones...entry 58 was a screening at the KC Underground Film Festival. Seeing #60 tonight, so I went ahead & added it. And "Hope" is one of the most relentless movies I've seen in a LONG time. If you can see it on the big screen, do so with knowing as little about it as possible. It's a lotta fun.

I am up to episode 5 of "Widow's Bay" I should mention that I said previously that Matthew Rhys is a Classic Villain. I was thinking of the show he did with Claire Danes. But from his work in the Mr Rogers movie and this "Widow's Bay" I should say he is a Classic In The Grey character
At this point, I still do not get why the show was put in the Comedy category for the Emmy's as well maybe a few more nominees. All the main cast returned: Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Stockard Channing and Dianne West but the movie also included the actor who played Miguel in "Cobra Kai" and two younger gals cannot remember the names. The witches did not quite have the powers like the witches in "Bewitched" which meant they could lose to the human counterparts which made the original and this movie more interesting.
Next she wanted to see the Owen Wilson movie "Runner". We are targeting on Friday to go.

When I was still just a couple of episodes in, I heard that Stephen King was a big fan of the show, and said it was like his work, but much funnier. That's when I noticed some of the elements of the show were for laughs. Like how Wyck (Stephen Root) is so over the top with his dire warnings. And how the mayor (Rhys) seems to ignore the undeniable crazy stuff going on. And his son just wants to hang with his friends and smoke pot.
The whole idea of marketing the island as "the next Martha's Vineyard" is comically pathetic. And every tourist site and landmark is about death and the curse. The mayor is trying to get a good review for the place, but all everyone talks about is how everyone has died.
Based on your recommendation, I'll try going to the 4:30 showing

I did make it, Mono Stereo, to see "Hope" at the theater. I wanted to make it to the Capitol View Farmers Market first but got back in time for the movie. It was pretty thrilling maybe about 15 minutes too long but I was on the edge throughout the whole thing. I went alone but glad I went.
An interesting preview is a movie called "Bemoth" I will have to find out more about it.

I didn't see your earlier post about going until now - I was gonna warn you to buckle up. Ha ha...glad you enjoyed it! And I agree that it could've been trimmed a little, but for as long as it is it didn't really feel like it.

I wondered who would be the one to catch it! It was a short film, & pretty amusing. I liked that in the credits there was a part that read "The Wendigo Will Return In 'Never Gangbang A Wendigo'", so I look forward to the sequel.
