I was just thinking. I tend to like a greater number of early 70s songs, and then my numbers really start dropping off through the 80's. Whereas you like very few in the early 70s, but more in the 80s. At some point - maybe summer of '86 - our two trendlines must cross.

I listened to a bit of the countdown yesterday. Marc Goodman introed Simple Minds with the full story about how they didn't want to do the song but did it, forgot about it and it became their signature song. Then after it, Alan Carter tells almost the same story. Does nobody proof what they are going to talk about between songs? He also added it was 1 week away from it's peak @ #3. Well, it would be #3 next week but this was not it's peak. As everybody knows it was a #1 song.

We'll have to find "the" year and then see if it's the mid-point between our ages.
