Bad 10
33. CAN’T SHAKE LOOSE – AGNETHA FALTSKOG
30. SITTING AT THE WHEEL – THE MOODY BLUES
24. FAR FROM OVER – FRANK STALLONE
17. TONIGHT I CELEBRATE MY LOVE – PEABO BRYSON AND ROBERTA FLACK
16. IF ANYONE FALLS – STEVIE NICKS
10. TELEFONE (LONG DISTANCE LOVE AFFAIR) – SHEENA EASTON
8. DELIRIOUS - PRINCE
3. ISLANDS IN THE STREAM – KENNY ROGERS WITH DOLLY PARTON
So many forgotten hits. Only time I hear these is the VJ40.
39. TENDER IS THE NIGHT – JACKSON BROWNE
Great song, doesn't get enough airplay these days.
37. EVERYDAY PEOPLE – JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS
I've come to realize that this is basically a cover band. "I Love Rock & Roll", "Crimson & Clover", "Do You Wanna Touch", "Everyday People" ... all covers.
34. CRUMBLIN’ DOWN – JOHN COUGAR MELLENCAMP
"And I don't mind being their whipping boy
I've had that pleasure for years and years"
For years, I thought this was "And I don't mind being down with a boy..." I thought it was a pretty brave confession for a rocker back in '83.
26. LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD – PAT BENATAR
2. MAKING LOVE OUT OF NOTHING AT ALL – AIR SUPPLY
1. TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART – BONNIE TYLER
I've said it many times before, but these are three of the best literal version videos ever.
20. BIG LOG – ROBERT PLANT
Decent song but what a dumb name for it.
18. MODERN LOVE – DAVID BOWIE
Not only is the music way too pop for Bowie, but the lyrics make me roll me eyes. "Church on time, terrifies me. Church on time, makes me party."
5. ALL NIGHT LONG (ALL NIGHT) – LIONEL RICHIE
Back in the 80s/90s I thought this song was 'okay' but over time, it's grown on me and become a guilty pleasure.
4. TRUE – SPANDAU BALLET
Good song, but I like it better as the hook in PM Dawn's "Set Adrift On Memory Bliss". Same with George Michael's "Father Figure" inside PM Dawn's "Looking Through Patient Eyes".
Songs that won't make the top 40
#58 Quarterflash "Take Another Picture"
#59 Rick Springfield "Souls"
#67 Pointer Sisters "I Need You"
#75 Genesis "Mama"
#83 Herbie Hancock "Rockit"
#84 AC/DC "Guns For Hire"
#85 Survivor "Caught In The Game"
#99 Heart "How Can I Refuse"
