K I thought it would be kinda funny to put this in this thread but the video itself is actually touching.

Do the residents change their clothes more often than that?

EasyJet threatened legal action against the band Easy Life, so now they have to change their name. I wonder if a fan (not me!) did this pooping in retaliation?

Isn't there a poopers thread this could have gone in as well?
Yes, I was conflicted. At least it didn't happen in Florida.

For a company named "easyGroup", they sure are some uptight assholes!

OK, so this story is surprising and scary, but the bigger story is that the article is missing ONE BIG PIECE. How did the guy get into the cockpit? It sounds like he was invited into the cockpit by the crew, but there's absolutely no mention of it in the article. So what's going on?

An off-duty pilot tried to take control of Alaska Airlines flight before being subdued, source and airline say

The cabin door is locked now (since 9/11). They had to unlock it probably as a 'courtesy' to another pilot.

Yes, that is what I assumed too. However, the lack of any mention that the crew invited him in seems to be either an intentional omission (and not for good reasons) or just really sloppy reporting.

Hah I came here to post that story.

Where is the jump seat in a plane? I just assumed it was in the cockpit. The article I read said he was in the jump seat which is reserved for off duty pilots. I figured since he's already a pilot with the airline he'd be allowed in the cockpit even if he wasn't flying.

EDIT: from the Google AI thing:
A jump seat is an auxiliary seat in an airplane for people who are not operating the aircraft. It's usually located behind the captain's seat on the left.

For those who've paid attention, I live on the southern tip of Maine, very close to Portsmouth NH and the single runway Portsmouth International Airport. Pease Air Force Base and the Air National Guard operate out of there, so we get our share of military aircraft flying over our house. Here's an idea of the proximity from Flightradar24. The blue dot is me, and the cluster of planes between Newington and Kittery is the airfield. That's a Frankfort-to-JFK flight passing over the vicinity of our house.

Well, yesterday, I heard this strange low frequency rumble. What was strange about it was that it didn't seem to be right overhead, but was nevertheless intense enough to vibrate the house on and off for like 10 minutes. It was what I imagined an earthquake would be like; and we do have earthquakes, but those last for 2 seconds. All the usual stuff, like helicopters and Air Force jets and military cargo planes etc. also make a rumble, but they come from up in the sky, they build quickly, and you get an idea of when they pass over.

So after the 10 minutes of shaking the ground, it finally starts building into something thunderous in the sky. But it's much more widespread and intense than I've heard before, and now I have to go outside and see what the hell is up. It's here! What is it? Are we all going to die? I can't see anything at first, then I step out onto the driveway and look directly over the house. A formation of 3 crazy helicopter-like things are passing over. Something like this

V-280 Valor.jpg

I went onto our community forum and confirmed they're vertical-launch military vehicles, possibly preparing for Pres. Biden to visit Lewiston tomorrow. They could've been V-22 Ospreys, but looked a little more like the Valors above. In any case, they were moving out. Pretty intense. The extended rumble was probably them lifting-off from Portsmouth.
