The guy who shot & directed my band's two music videos was hired as an imagineer, a lifelong dream, right before Covid. Then he got laid off (due to Covid). He got hired back about a year ago. I hope he doesn't get axed again...

The World Of Color – ONE show debuted January 27, 2023 at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim. It features 1200 fountains, video projections on mist screens, lighting, lasers, fire, fog and songs from Disney films. The show's theme, Start A Wave, was written by Cody Fry and is sung by Loren Allred. Wendy Ruth, a Disney Live Entertainment director, says the song is "an inspiring message that every single one of us can make a difference. We see it in characters such as Remy, Moana, Mirabel and Luke Skywalker. In the end, we leave our guests with a call to action: You can be the one." Here is the complete show, in 4K:

In March, Disney CEO Robert Iger responded to complaints about theme park price hikes: "In our zeal to grow profits, we may have been a little bit too aggressive about some of our pricing. Disney needs to be accessible." That was then, this is now. Disney has once again raised theme park prices – some by as much as $65. The Incredi-Pass, Walt Disney World's top-tier annual pass, now costs $1,449.00 plus $94.19 tax for a total of $1,543.19. And the parking rate has increased. It is now $30 at Walt Disney World and $35 at Disneyland.

I haven't been to Disney in over 2 years. I bet I could figure out when if I looked back in this thread. That changes tomorrow. So I'm getting a new (used) car in May and I want to have a couple final road trips in the RAV. And where else am I going to go?

So I get off work at 6 tomorrow and will hop right in the car. I should hopefully get there a little after 9 and Magic Kingdom closes at 11. I was going to wait to go to a park until Thurs but I bought my pass online and they couldn't prove I was an FL resident so I'll need to get the ticket at the gate. Now I'm doing this cause I want to ride Guardians for the first time on Thurs but to do so you need a virtual queue and you cant get that without a valid ticket, the queue opens at 7am before the parks open so I need to get my ticket tomorrow night to have at 7 on Thurs.

Also the annual pass was about the same price as it was 2 years ago and there are fewer blackout dates. I got the cheapest FL resident one that I always get, the one only good on weekdays. Anyway, with tax and everything it was $467. I'll have gotten my monies worth after 4 visits at that price.

It'll be nice to be back at Disney, it's been way too long.

Oh yea, I'm getting a new car cause the RAV is sadly on her last legs. She's a 2005 with 135k on her so we've had a good run. I got her in 2018. I'm pretty sure she'll make it but I do question it a bit. So that should be another fun aspect to the trip. If she makes it this time I'll probably give her one last hurrah later in the month.

I would have thought Disney would be punishing residents of FL by adding a "we don't like your governor" surcharge not give them cheaper rates.

How could they not prove you are from FL? Does your CC not have a FL address on it?

I don't think a CC is good enough, they need a driver's license.
