I had a pretty good weekend. Went to Disney and Universal for the first time since the end of September of last year.
The weird thing happened at Disney. I went to renew my pass that expires in April and I upgraded it from the cheapest annual pass to the second cheapest one that allows me to go on weekends since I changed my schedule for football. I now have Sundays and Mondays off. I don't want to change it again in the off-season. Anyway, after I paid $755 for the new pass, I was informed that I wouldn't be allowed in the park on because it was Sunday. I figured as soon as I bought the new pass it would just kick in but apparently it doesn't kick in till the old one expires on April 9th.
So I left But as I was driving out of the Magic Kingdom I was thinking this is not like Disney. For all the bitching I hear YouTubers do, my experience with Disney has always been fantastic customer service. So I called customer service while I was on my way to Universal and after 15 minutes on hold, when I was pulling into the Universal parking lot, they picked up and the woman couldn't have been nicer. I explained the situation and she automatically gave me a park hopper day pass for free (a 1 day park hopper pass costs abt $185) for that day which was this past Sunday. So I drove back to Disney, did all my Magic Kingdom stuff and had a great day and my stellar opinion of Disney customer service is intact.
Also, Universal was so freaking cool. That velocicoaster is the greatest roller coaster I've ever been on. The way that it pulls you out of your seat so many times is really exhilarating. It's kind of scary actually which is what makes it so much fun. I'm used to coasters that maybe push you out of your seat for a split second. This one does it for what feels like a full second multiple times. So you're completely dependent upon the restraint working in order to not die. God it's so much fun!
