I was just in my first ever FSD Tesla. It was so cool!!!!! We have Waymo in Miami but I've never even seen one in person. FSD was awesome. I was in an Uber and the driver didn't have to drive at all. It's really neat how it shifted from the far left to the far right lane to turn into my street. It waited longer than I would but it wound up doing it seamlessly. It also comes to complete stops at every stop sign and found it's way out of my parking lot pick up spot with no issues.

It was a lot of fun to finally experience FSD in person!

Have any of you been in a driverless car or FSD in Tesla or whatever it's called in all the other car brands that have it?

I'm betting Channel has been in a Waymo. He's our LA guy.

I have a 2005 Honda Civic that is running just fine, thank you. I've never been in a Waymo, an Uber or a taxi. I wonder if self-driving cars are able to maintain a 17.3 mph speed limit.

NEVER??????? That's odd man. I've been in a bunch of Ubers and more than a few taxis mostly either in NYC or Caribbean nations when figuring out my own excursion when a cruise I was on came into port for the day.

What about like airport shuttles? Those vans that come and get you from you house. And if you're really fancy they are Lincoln Town Cars. At least that's how it was 26 years ago when I was in Philly.

How about any type of private or group shuttle service or limo?

This makes me think. (A dangerous pastime I know.)

But we need Channel to answer our previous questions before he can participate cause I'm genuinely interested.

For the rest of us I have a 2 questions:

Question 1: what is the weirdest form of transportation you have ever been on that someone/thing other than you controlled??????
It can't be a ride like The People Mover in The Magic Kingdom cause that is a ride, but the Monorail or Skyliner would count since they take you from one park to another and stuff like that.

Question 2: List all forms of transportation you have EVER been on where someone/thing other than you controlled getting you to the destination.
Once again Disney type rides don't count. AND.....Even if the same form of transportation makes a loop you must have used it to get from destination A to destination B and then spent at least some time out of the transportation device and in or around destination B before taking the same thing back home.

Teri and I made five trips to Walt Disney World. All were out of L.A. International Airport. (No, I'm not going to post Susan Raye's 1971 country hit L.A. International Airport here.) On two of the trips, a driver in a Lincoln Continental took us from our home to the airport – and after the trip was over, back home.

The vehicles that take you to the top of a zip line run are usually unconventional. I've also done a bus tour of Israel and the 17 mile drive in California. The buses have to cross onto the other side of the road to take some of the bends.

But by far, the craziest transport was the water taxi from Marco Polo airport to Venice. We were constantly on the razor's edge of flipping over. They do like 50 mph on the water, just so they can get back and take another group of customers.

Haha!!! My weirdest is similar. Philly used to have Duck Boat tours. They were these like trucks that were also boats. When I was a kid it was a thing my parents took me on to entertain me one weekend. You went all around historic Philly then drove into the Delaware River and did like 45 mins touring locations from the water.

And like you were saying Scotch......

Even though they didn't go anywhere near 50 mph in the water, at some point after I moved to FL one of them flipped and killed a bunch of people and now the don't exist anymore.

They have the Duck boats in Boston. I always thought they originated here.

Every year, our band would play in a parade. About 20 of us would sit in chairs on a flat bed truck. It moved slowly during the parade, but then it had to loop back to the starting point. They'd take the main roads with all of us on board, sometimes doing 30 or 35 mph. Fun stuff.
