anyway the Tesla truck looks cool but who really cares?
I no longer keep track of what's new in the car market, so I know almost nothing about it. But my thoughts are that it's a comically ridiculous vehicle, which would never be put on the market by anyone other than Musk.

Its body skin is reminiscent of the much maligned DeLorean. Is that what we want to be reminded of?

It's preposterous looking, and laughably impractical and useless. Other than that, it's a Tesla, so I have no interest.

OH H.....EYE OH
I saw this thread title and got me thinking I have had only 3 main vehicles since 1988.

All trucks:

November 1988: Bought a 1987 Nissan truck. Owned it until December of 2000. Put around 150,000 on it.

December of 2000: Bought a new 2001 Nissan Frontier and owned for 18 1/2 years and put 385,000 miles on it. I so much wanted to make it to 400,000 but it blew a head gasket and I did not want to go to the issues of replacing a lot of things. I sold it to a nice older gentleman who had the resources to a new engine etc. and I still see it around town and always puts a smile on my face.

April 2019: I found a nice well kept Honda Ridgeline pickup truck. It was owned by a military guy who paid attention to detail. I bought it with 104,000 miles. It currently has 145,000 miles. Love it.

In these 35 years, only 9 years were vehicle payments.

Sweet!

I bought my first new car in 1996. A Chevy Cavalier.

Next was a 2004 Nissan Sentra.

Then a 2012 Mazda 3.

Last year I bought the 2022 Honda Civic I'm currently driving.

But I'm pretty much always making a monthly payment because the wife's cars go right in the middle of those. I forget the years but her first was an Escort, then 2 VWs.

Scammers skim social sites looking for people's first cars, first pets, favorite colors, and whatnot.
Ya might want to make some adjustments to your posts.

My first car was a shit-box. Color = rust.

I just never use this as a security answer. I can never type it in the same way 2 times in a row.

Anyone else here doesn’t tank up for gas until you’re as close to Empty as possible?

I KNOW my car, and if I’m sure I can get 20 miles to the next gas station without going empty, I’ll do it every time.
Every car I've had since 1994 (all BMWs) has had an on-board computer with range to empty. It's generally very accurate, except when my first car got old and it would get stuck at 50 miles left in the cold.

So I always know how many miles I can go before the car actually dies. And if I'm in a rush, or the weather's bad, I'll put off getting gas if I can. So I've been known to let it get down to 20 miles left before I drive to a gas station. Sometimes, on the way to get gas, it goes down to zero. I guess I don't like stopping for gas unless it's really necessary.

I gas up usually when range falls below 100 km. If it goes to 35 km my car starts asking me if I want it to help me find a gas station. I hate that so I gas up sooner.

I almost always drive mine till the warning light comes on at about 2 gallons left. I’ll drive about 20 more miles or so before filling up.

I had that car, but it leveled out at a half tank all year. I just watched the mileage, and didn’t play that one as close.

Google tells me the 94 K75 is a bike. You rode around on a bike? F'ing badass. Never thought you had that in you Scotch... I don't have it in me . Mr big balls over here. Also good job not dying. Bikes are death traps...especially cool, powerful BMW bikes. You should get a new one now with a sidecar for the Mrs. and the dogs.

1992 BMW 325is

This one has the classic BMW headlights I grew up thinking were so cool and still think so today.
