Celebrity death thread 2022

Barnes played Vicky Robinson in Disney's 1961 movie The Parent Trap and Vicki Blake in the 1998 remake. She appeared in multiple episodes of Benson, Barney Miller, Maverick, Cheyenne, Executive Suite, The Beverly Hillbillies and 21 Beacon Street and played the ex-wife in 13 episodes of Peter Falk's 1965-66 CBS series The Trials Of O'Brien.

A committee appointed by The Country Music Hall Of Fame determines each year's inductees. Artists become eligible 20 years after achieving "national prominence." Uh, yeah.....and the Judds had eight connsecutive number-one songs, 1984-86. They were eligible in 2004! Another rule is that an artist who dies and who is not in the Hall Of Fame will not be eligible for induction until one year after his death.

Tanya Tucker, Wanda Jackson, Dwight Yoakam, June Carter, Freddy Fender, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Crystal Gayle, Bobbie Gentry and Asleep At The Wheel are not in the Country Music Hall Of Fame. Hank Williams Jr. was finally inducted last year, 57 years after his remake of his father's Long Gone Lonesome Blues became his first hit, reaching #5 in April 1964. Including duets, he's had 109 country hits, 80 top-40s, 42 top tens and 10 number ones. Why was he snubbed for so many years?

There is speculation that Naomi committed suicide. For her family's sake, I hope that is not what happened. She detailed her mental issues in a 2016 memoir, River Of Time: My Descent Into Depression & How I Emerged With Hope.

On April 11 the Judds announced a ten-date tour commencing September 30 in Grand Rapids and ending October 29 in Nashville. Tickets went on sale April 15. Wouldn't Naomi have been looking forward to the tour? And the Judds were being inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame on May 1. If Naomi did indeed commit suicide, why now? We may never know.

"You were making out during Schindler's List? How could you do such a thing?"

I love Curb and Simpsons but Seinfeld is the GOAT sitcom. Even with the laugh track it's still endlessly watchable.

That clip (and Seinfeld overall) brought my mom and I together. I was an asshole teen when this was new and that was something Mary Ann and I could agree about and share a chuckle.

I had no idea Ashley's mom was also famous.

Spinal Tap was Chris Guest right? I never actually saw that one all the way through but Waiting for Guffman and Best in Show are top notch. The mockumentary is kinda beaten to death now but he started and perfected it.

Depression is a hideous monster. It can completely cloud judgement and she may not have been thinking of these events in those terms or any terms.

I agree but getting to the point where self harm or suicide thoughts creep in is a whole different monster. Normal people get depressed and have may have those thoughts, but they are fleeting. It's a way more serious mental condition if a person gets to the point where they act on them.

And I'm very pro suicide. I think euthanasia should be completely legal (my Oma/Grandmom was euthanized in The Netherlands in the 90's after her cancer battle) and I go a step further where I think that if you don't have a history of mental problems and you want to kill yourself it shouldn't be frowned upon. People should be allowed to do whatever they want with their own lives so long as it doesn't physically hurt others...and that includes ending your life.
