You want to talk about old; this is my partner vacuum cleaner. I never heard of this brand. It's a Rainbow SE which I googled, and it came out sometime in the 90s. You must add water to the bottom container which collects everything. To me water and electricity shouldn't go close together. This vacuum is a pain in the ass most of the time to use. I have got to admit; it's probably the best vacuum cleaner that I have ever used. It has quite a bit of power and one of the main reasons is he keeps it. Because of the attachments and hose, which can get too hard-to-reach places. The only other vacuum we have is a battery operated one, which basically is a bigger dust buster.

- Contactless tap-to-pay credit/debit cards. It always works, and it's fast. With the swipe/insert, half the time it wouldn't work. And the card won't wear out using the tap.

Dislike:
- Multi-factor authentication. It seems like every site where you have to sign-in requires this now, where they send a code (up to 10-digits!) to your phone. And they always have a check-box to have it remember your device, but I use VPN on my computer, so that doesn't work.

I would have to agree on most of that.

Contactless tap-to-pay cards and phones usually work for me. There are still certain stores that often have issues or won’t accept them at all like Walmart, for example. I don’t understand why Walmart can’t accept them by now.

At places like Fry’s or Macy’s, tap-to-pay sometimes has problems. The cashier will say, “There must be something wrong with your card.” I usually reply that there isn’t, it's your machine that won’t accept it. After the cashier resets something or moves to the next step, I try again and it finally works. I’m probably being a dick when I say, “Yep, as I thought. It was your machine.”

Multi-factor authentication I know it’s all for security and everything, but it’s starting to get out of hand and really annoying. I just want to log in without having to verify a damn security/authentication image by clicking on three buses, a bicycle, a crosswalk, etc.

Her name is Nadiya. I think she's from some former Russian territory. She's been my eye doctor for maybe 5 years now (I believe I met her during Covid, and she had the mask on). She looks even more attractive in person, and doesn't show any signs of aging. Every time I see her, she looks like she just got out of undergraduate school (which couldn't be the case).

Of course, I have all my eye tests done by a "regular-looking" assistant, before she pops-in. So Nadiya comes in all cheery-looking, goes over my charts, consults with me, and then she's gone.

Hot Russian eye doctor? Wow.

I'm literally afraid of the eye doctor (it's a phobia of mine I must have mentioned here before) but that chick can poke me wherever she wants so long as I have a chance to be accepted into her motherland.

Nadiya The Eye Doctor : "Your eyes are bugged out for some reason..."

Scotch : "You own a mirror, right?"

Hahahahahahahahahaha.

That's hilarious.

Every man who walks into her office looks like this:

and needs emergency care. Her practice is thriving!

Meanwhile, across town, the 30 year legacy ophthalmology clinic built by partners Stuart Horowitz and Frank DeMuro, now looks like this:

OK, I know everyone dislikes drivers who don't use their directionals (even though they also might not use them sometimes), but I'm not talking about changing lanes on the highway. I'm talking about following someone on a backroad with a 35 mph limit (where everyone's doing 45), and having them slow for no reason, and then stop right in front of you and turn onto a driveway, all without any form of indication. I'm talking about sitting at an intersection, waiting for the car on the main road to go by, so you can turn onto the main road, and the guy doesn't go by; but rather he turns onto your street, without any indication.

It's people who treat public roads as if they were driving a golf cart around a gated Florida retirement village, with no awareness that other people exist. I can't decide if it's ignorance, insolence, or privilege. All I know is that these people are in their own little world.

Every January, Menards has a 15% off everything that will fit in a paper bag. I will pick up anything I need in the clearance section and get my 15% off as well.

The Puppy Bowl this Sunday. My sister got me into it last year. It was more fun to watch than I would have guessed. Something we can text each other about during the show

And I'm participating in Library Bingo. I decided to do the top across line by February 28th. B-Read a book 30 minutes, I-Read a Magazine, N-Take a Walk
G-Read under a blanket 30 minutes, O-Listen to an AudioBook. I've completed B, N and G. Need to finish I and O.
And I'm participating in the February 24 Hour Fitness Challenge with my Y. 24 hours in February. About 1 hour per day.

I wear these nearly all-day, everyday. They can even be worn outside, like when I let the dogs out and they take-off and then I have to go outside to get them. But normally, I put shoes on to go outside, and then as soon as I get back inside the house, the shoes get left on a mat, and these go back on. When we do hikes, I walk into the garage with these, and then put my hiking shoes on.

They slip right on, keep my feet warm, and provide the grip of a sneaker. They also hold-up for a couple of years of daily use.

I'll have to see if I have some slippers around the house Scotch that I can put by the door.

The Principle's 7:45 am announcement at the Elementary School a half block from our house. I can hear it from my backyard. Right now, I have to crack open the back deck door to listen.

Snoopy Jazz videos on You Tube. Watch in the living room. Great filler time in between activities.

Last year I played a lot of online Uno and BubbleShooter. This year I've been playing Letter Sensei. I've gotten up to 100, 098 on the easy level. Time to try intermediate.

Taylor Bell videos for Breakfast. I follow her life in New York City on You Tube. They are short 10-20 minutes which is better than trying to watch a whole episode of a TV show and losing track of the morning. New York looks pretty.

And I got a carton of eggs on special at the Kwik Trip for 49 cents yesterday. Just grade A large but I can probably have them for dinner instead of a meal. The cashier was pretty nice to me too. I picked the wrong ones and instead of just ringing me up she asked if I intended to purchase the 49 cent eggs and she went back and got the right carton for me
