Well good for him, but I'm not crazy about his reworking of the song. And I guess the video has a few interesting moments, but...
Today on the Life With John Mayer channel I heard When I Get My Hands On You by the New Basement Tapes. Bob Dylan wrote the song in 1967 but never recorded it. The New Basement Tapes are – is? – Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford, Dawes singer/guitarist Taylor Goldsmith, My Morning Jacket singer/guitarist Jim James and Carolina Chocolate Drops singer/fiddler/banjoist Rhiannon Giddens. Mumford and Goldsmith composed music for the song and included it on the 2014 album of Dylan songs Lost On The River. The group took their name from The Basement Tapes, a 1975 album of songs recorded by Bob Dylan and The Band in 1967-68.
On XMU, it's what we've all been patiently waiting for: new music from The Jesus and Mary Chain.

I drive my son's car once a week while he's away at college. I set up my Onyx radio in it. I think it was on Pulse that this sweet lil ballad popped up and made me a lil wet-eyed.
I'm a little mixed on the "like my father loves my mother thing", but I can see why you'd appreciate it.
Something I've been wanting to post somewhere is this poppy rocker by indie artist Sasami (formerly of Cherry Glazerr) getting heavy rotation on SiriusXMU. It's not exactly my cup of tea, but I do enjoy it, and at the same time I feel it's the perfect pop song for the Billboard Hot 100. Why it isn't charting there (to my knowledge) is a complete mystery to me.

My parents divorced before I was in the first grade. My mother and stepfather also divorced and it wasn't pretty. But I like the concept.
I dig the song (but can't watch the video... watching her headbang and rock out while singing the way she does drives me nuts).
As for why it's not charting... BROKEN CHART!
Plus, she's not talking about "I'm that bitch. Ayy ayy. I'm the shit. Juice in my cup. You a wack bitch. You a crack bitch. These motherfuckers thought that I forgot I'm that bitch." Which is top-notch modern poetry.
Another SiriusXMU Old School gem. I can't believe I never posted this. It's the ultimate breakup song. I'd put it in the favorite lyrics thread, but I'd have to include the whole thing.
