Well.. now that I've learned more about the E-tuner system for the LP.. I just love it. It's great. Takes me from Open E to standard tuning in 15 seconds.
The guitar itself is fun to play. The action is soooo low and close to the fretboard; makes me feel like a better player than I'd otherwise be.
I got a lot more work to do to get back my old playing skills.
Rhythm is where it's at. If you can't do rhythm, you ain't gunna be able to do anything else.
I was talking about Jon's post.
My response to yours is:
Yowza!
I like this idea.Anybody up for a "Riff of the Week Challenge?"
We take turns picking a riff, have the week to learn it and then post a vid on the weekend.
I've been playing mostly ukulele and old time on the acoustic, so this would keep my rock chops in shape. Oh, it would have to be a rock riff. Did I mention that part?
If Jon, Aaron, SepticHeart (great name for a metal band) and/or anyone else out there are up for it, I propose the main riff to "All Right Now" by Free.
In other words, up through 7:14 in Justin Sandercoe's video here, but you can play whichever version you like. The original is two guitars anyway.
I like this idea.
I may not get around to posting a video (never uploaded a video before), but I have been practicing this riff.
What riff is next?
Mommy.
She could play my G string any day.
After way too many months off, the band is getting back together this week.
Even worse. Retirement home.
We're opening for Wheel of Fortune.
We don't even get tapioca.
