I haven't golfed in awhile but when I do I putt cross handed.

I was never that good. I made the varsity high school team and was solidly in the middle. We had a member of the team whose dad had the hook up on a nice local country club so that's where we used to practice. The gym teacher was the coach. He was cool and would always bust my balls but like in a fun way. Lots of times us dumb kids would sneak off into the woods during practice and smoke pot. So it was golf and also getting high...two very enjoyable things.

When I moved to FL I used to golf a bunch but stopped like 2 or so years ago. I was able to hit the links at Disney a few times and those were the nicest courses I ever walked. Carts are for losers...but I would use those bags with wheels and tripod thingies so that's kinda cheating. Even having the dual strap backpack bags is kinda cheating IMO. Real non-professional golfers should carry their bags on one shoulder.

I have had a nice and lucky and privileged childhood/overall life I guess.

I used to, but have mostly gotten out of the practice. The Mrs. is an editor and told me some time ago that the double space was antiquated. I still do it out of habit sometimes though.

Old fashioned typewriters are pretty cool.
I got the Mrs one like this a few years ago.
The thing must weight 20 pounds.

I've become numbed by the sheer volume of illiterate people on social media, especially older people. What's really common is putting a space between the end of a sentence and the punctuation. And by punctuation, I mean 3 or more question marks, or 3 or more exclamation points, exclusively !!! I mean, wtf ???

The other common practice...is giving up on punctuation altogether...every thought is just a continuing stream of consciousness......this is the grammatical equivalent of wearing sweatpants all the time...know what I'm saying... ?!?!?!

I used to have a typewriter similar to the one in that picture. It was an Underwood and it had belonged to my grandfather. I don't remember what I did with it but I didn't keep it. There was no "1." A small letter L functioned as a 1. In the United States, we're familiar with the QWERTY keyboard. The typewriter in the picture has the Y and Z keys reversed. That is a QWERTZ keyboard, in common use in Germany and Austria. I know all about the QWERTZ keyboard. At least I do now that I looked it up on Wikipedia.

Hers is an Underwood. I'll have to check to see if it's QWERTY or QWERTZ.

It looks like it's a Model 6 like the picture above. It has the QWERTY keyboard. The tag on the back is worn and I can't see the serial number, but the keys are configured like the model 6 which was probably made around 1935.

For me the phone texting has screwed with my spelling. Some words it changes for me I've forgotten how they're supposed to be spelled. I'm writing a book and spend too long finding the correct spelling before I give up and let the comp fill it in.
