The daily mail...my fav rag...once again coming in hot with hard hitting journalism.

Are you a grower or a shower? Experts invent scientific definition Are you a grower or a shower? Experts invent scientific definition

So what are you? I'm likely the former.
Btw, that story is all over the place. In some places it says a grower is over 51%, in other places 56%. Then it gives the sizes for average flaccid and erect, and says average growth is 42%. But the math comes out to 35.7%. And why have these two terms, and then say most men are in between?

I post this with zero commentary. But it is certainly newsworthy.

Donald Trump was "wrong" on Jan. 6, 2021, and history will hold him accountable for it.

That was the message former Vice President Mike Pence delivered at a Washington, D.C., dinner on Saturday night, in what amounted to his most forceful rebuke to date of the former president.

Pence laid into Trump for his efforts to pressure him into blocking the certification of the 2020 election results on Jan. 6, when he told supporters near the White House that he hoped Pence would "do the right thing." Protesters who later marched to the Capitol turned violent and stormed the building where the vote count was being certified. Some chanted "Hang Mike Pence."

"His reckless words endangered my family and everyone at the Capitol that day," Pence said.

Didn't see a Fantasy Fatball thread for 2023, so I'll post this here. But, I'm down 25 pounds in the last few months. Walking the dog every day and limiting my bad food intake helped out immensely. 240 pounds last I checked. Still obese, but not morbidly. Starting to hit up the kettlebells again after my gall bladder removal surgery, and want to get down to 180 by this time next year maybe.

We haven't made a thread yet this year, because we're all staying fat. But good for you.
My wife has lost a lot of weight with a zero carb diet. Have you tried that?
I posted a study elsewhere, saying that the low-carb/ high-fat diets are resulting in more coronary diseases. Is it one of those? Or more of a Mediterranean thing? Of course, studies change all the time.

Congrats Jon.

I've been up to 211 or 212 for the last several months. 210 today, but it'll probably be back to 212 by tomorrow.

190 or so would be good, mid 180's would be even better.

Last December I decide that after the holidays I have to get my weight back down. At 183, I was starting to do the cliche fat-people things like being a little out of breath after climbing stairs. And my pile of pants I can't fit into was starting to approach the pile I do fit into. My goal is to be 150 by Memorial Day, so that's 1 1/2 pounds a week. I'm right on target at 167.

I'm avoiding wheat, dairy and sweets. I've only had them when there are no other options (like the robots competition I went to over the weekend where we were told to support the fundraising efforts of the host school and don't bring outside food - their foot was shit and all junk AND they ran out of food before dinner with no intentions of getting more).

When I got sick over the holidays, it kept me off of the treadmill. I'd been on it once this year so far and then I picked up the flu a week ago, I managed to get a mile and a half yesterday. Hopefully I can get back to getting a few miles every weekend again.

What I am reading from this is exercise makes you sick. So to avoid getting sick, don't exercise. Good advice.

You may be on to something Dr. Cpt. Skiing.
Is it bad that I have no desire to workout ever?
It’s great. Having no desire to workout, that is. It’s extremely low on my to do list, and extremely high on my to do later list.

I may have said the elsewhere a while ago, but in 2015 I went on an elimination diet to try and find a root cause for rosacea flare-ups. While nothing definitive was found (just triggers that make it go bad to worse), my weight dropped from 174 to 128 over the course of 4-5 months. I lost most of it in less than 3 months.

The below is not a thorough or exact documentation of what I did (it changed over time). But it basically sums up how I ate for almost a year. I used it as a cheat sheet. Some of the items were suspected to trigger my skin - had nothing to do with weight gain/loss. But I dropped weight fast and safely - though people said I looked "gaunt" because I dropped it so quick.

That's interesting, and possibly shocking in several ways. Good for you for having the discipline to go through this.

It doesn't sound like any of these were the cause of the rosacea. I have that too, on the bridge of my nose. It used to be more noticeable when I drank, but as I got older, it became just a constant thing. I have some medication which is mostly ineffective. The only surefire fix is a micro-laser procedure, not covered by insurance. If we ever have a year where neither of us have any issues with teeth, or eyes, or unplanned injuries, or joints etc, maybe I can get it done.

I give you credit. I couldn't get by with that diet. Maybe one or two at a time, but not for a whole year.

When my Dr told me I had high cholesterol several years ago, he said I should try adjusting my diet to see if I could avoid having to go on meds. I went nearly beef free for a year, cut way back on pork, and added more fish and chicken. I added a lot of plant based stuff to my diet. I lost a few pounds, but my cholesterol didn't get much better so he put me on pills. So I thought fuckit. That night, on the way home I bought a giant porterhouse steak for the grill. It was GLORIOUS!!!! I swear, after year nearly beef free, it was literally a euphoric kind of a buzz. Some kind of a meat high,
