I think it’s an item maybe parents felt like you needed a bottle of ipecac in the house “in case”? Like 98 I don’t remember anyone using it here either.

That makes sense. If your kid gets into some of that shit underneath the sink, you force ipecac down their throat so they don't die.

Ipecac was a syrup. Was. Past tense. It is no longer manufactured.

The only reason I haven't forgotten the word ipecac is because of Mike Patton (Faith No More/Tomahawk/Fantomas) named his record label Ipecac Recordings

I've become known as "that guy with the albums", because my basement listening room has a cabinet for all the albums I've collected, plus my older brother's albums, plus Mrs. Scotch's sisters' and in-law's albums. (I have a separate cabinet for my CDs.) A few years ago, the 1st chair clarinet player in my previous band bequeathed upon me his jazz and classical albums, which came in 2 or 3 boxes.

And now, a friend/coworker - the one who put me up in his place 30 years ago when I got divorced - just got divorced himself. Guess what that means? Yep, I get all his old, crappy albums. On Saturday, when the weather sucked, I went through the 3 milk-crates of albums he brought over. There is still a big plastic bin I need to get to, at a later time. Anyway, here I'm listening to The White Album from the Beatles. And yes, the double albums are white vinyl.

The guy I'm writing music with has a ton of pieces of voinyl, a huge floor-to-ceiling bookcase full of 'em, plus more in a different room. When my grandmother passed 15 years ago, a 10 album set of records (some classical thing) was about to get tossed in the trash so I held on to it. Just gave it to him a couple months ago.

My voinyl collection fits in one box and I haven't hooked my record player up to the stereo in about a decade.

Here's something unexpected. In the game Words With Friends, there are these daily solo games that I play to earn points, or coins, or whatever. One of them is a daily Word Search. The topic of this one was "Grunge Bands and Food", which was pretty neat by itself.

But what's interesting is that the creator of this puzzle threw in a hidden band name. "Dinosaur Jr." is spelled-out diagonally, but it's not one of the search words on the list. Kind of like hearing "I buried Paul" in a Beatles song. Well, not really.
