Is the D in your initials one of those hyphenated Der- or Du- surname things?i know ive talked about this before but freaking goldmember was the bane of my high school existence. oh boy did all my friends have fun with the idea of me as a bumbling dutch villain.

Then it's not really a middle name is it?just a second middle name.
it's our family tradition that the first boy is named after his paternal grandfather. i got the short end of the stick with a first name that's normal in dutch but a girl name in english. my son will be hendrik. at least that one is spelled like it sounds in both languages. my middle names are my dad and my great uncle on his side. so it's jan hendrik derk koopman.
I assume it's pronounced "Yahn"?

Ok. I consider myself a pretty tolerant guy when it comes to LGBTQ issues. I'm for gay marriage, cool with people identifying with different genders, cool with trans people. 100% for gay adoption.
But, in the airport today, I saw a guy, about 30, overweight and balding. Had short hair and a full beard. He was wearing blue eye shadow, mascara, pink lipstick, silver painted nails, and his eyebrows were shaped like a woman's. Now if he was transgender why the beard, and no wig, and dressed in man clothes too.
I don't know, I found it kinda creepy. I didn't stare or say anything, but I thought it was odd. Does that make me an asshole? It's not like the guy was in a glam metal band.
