Last night I watched The History of Chicago on CNN
CNN Films: 'Now More Than Ever: The History of Chicago' - CNN.com

It was pretty good (for the 1st hour), but was even more devoid of insightful information than I expected. Nothing about the band members' childhoods, musical development, songwriting influences, etc. Also, no explanation for Peter Cetera's complete dissociation from the band after his departure.

But it did remind us of how many great, innovative songs they cranked-out consistently for about 7 years, and how talented each member of the band was. Of course, they were the favorite band of my childhood, so this interests me a great deal.
I thought it was pretty interesting. There was a lot of stuff that I wouldn't have really expected, not being a big fan.
Anything about the recent rise in gun violence?

Actually, there was.....

I enjoyed the show also, but yeah it could have done more.

Cetera always comes across like a jerk because he declines to be interviewed. It would have been nice to hear his side of the story.
