These stats seem really low to me. Like yea, that's mosdef poverty.

So for a single guy it's only 12.1k?
So in FL, where the minimum wage is $8.25, that's not poverty? Even if you only work 30 hour weeks (assuming you work 52 weeks/year) that still comes to 12.8k. according to that link, it's not poverty. And yes, I understand there will be taxes on that 12.8 but still.
Anyway, I'm thinking about this because I had like a 4 min chat with this homeless guy when I was getting gas today. He was a nice guy and I felt bad so I gave him way more than I usually do...a quick $5 spot (I'm clearly a hero). So that got me thinking about homeless people and that got me thinking about the poverty line and that's why I'm posting this.
