I have been wanting to start and AHL thread but since I am likely the only follower, I will just put it here.

My son and I have been season ticket holders to the Toronto Marlies for the past 3 seasons. The Marlies are the AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL. The junior team feeding it is in Cincinnati. I have come to like AHL hockey better than the NHL. It is more rough. The refereeing is more uneven making it more fun to chastise them. The ice is slightly smaller than the NHL. Lots more hits on the boards. And we are a lot closer to the ice than we ever could be at an NHL game (without winning a lottery).

Any of you follow a local AHL team? If so which ones?

Leaving you with the song they play as the Marlies come out in the third period.

Gets the juices flowing.

No experience with AHL hockey, but isn’t minor league sports a good bargain?

I miss when New Orleans had a Triple A baseball team.

We have the Colorado Eagles here in my town, and about an hour up the road from their NHL team, the Colorado Avalanche. I try to follow them whenever possible. Would like to go to a game one day.

Arizona had a couple of clubs. The Coyotes and we still have the Tucson Roadrunners. But the former :censored: owner Alex Meruelo of the Yotes unfortunately still owns the Roadrunners. He wants to take the club and move them to Reno. Last I heard some new owners in Arizona are trying to stop him and buy that club and either keep the Roadrunners down in Tucson or move them back to Phoenix. Where they used to play before the Coyotes moved here.

Thanks for reminding me.

I love Steve Kornacki.

You all know me, I'm no MSNBC guy but I will tune in for him. You can just tell how his heart is devoted to being a stat nerd. He's turned the nerd corner into being cool.

CNN realized that guys like me love Kornacki so they tried to build a clone but the CNN scientists clearly forgot to add all the chromosomes in the rushed cloning process. He's nowhere near as awesome. I feel bad for him. It's like Lebron trying all he can to be Jordan but deep down he knows that no matter what he does he will never match Jordan both on and off the court in terms of professional ability and universally loved personality.

I know that these videos are talking about political polls but I hope it's clear that's not why I'm posting them. I picked 2 videos that don't favor my leaning on purpose to prove that it doesn't matter what the polls are about...It's just sad. Poor CNN guy is trying so hard but can never be this:

He's just so awesome.

The CNN guy doesn't even have a cool name like Steve. Harry Enten? Yea Enten'ing Kornacki's balls into his mouth.

Well Steve probably does enjoy balls in his mouth? ;)

I don't watch CNN, not really into political crap. They do have a few great gay team members. Don Lemon, Victor Blackwell and the king of the silver foxes :brow: Cooper Anderson :lostit:

Also, Steve Kornacki pretty good looking as well.

If you are only discussing looks then I totally agree with you about Don and Anderson. I don't think I've ever seen Victor or if I have I don't remember.

And again just on looks..... IDK maybe the CNN copycat is a little hotter. But in terms of needing any sort of personality or anything. Steve takes the Cake all day long. In a marry fuck kill situation. I know it's only two people but whatever, CNN guy is most likely getting killed and Kornacki is 100% the choice to marry.

Who's the CNN guy, Anderson?

I'm gonna be to nice and not kill Don or Victor. But I would fuck Steve and marry Anderson. Plus is Anderson is richer and he can be my sugar daddy.

How do you wreck during the warm-up lap?

It's not that uncommon. Tires are cold, and they're usually cutting sharply back and forth to warm them. Plus, they do burnouts for the same reason.

I know it happens once in a while, didn't think it was that common.
