Caught part of a Savannah Bananas game on Youtube the other night. These guys are a trip. Like a regular baseball game except they do backflips as they're catching the ball, and all kinds of offbeat shit in between innings. Probably something I'd wanna see in person if they ever came around here.
 
I have been wanting to see a Bananas game for years. They come to Phoenix early every year at couple selective spring training ballparks. Instead of letting the public buy tickets. They have a stupid lottery system, where I'm never selective. If they were smart enough, they do away the lottery system or preform in a bigger stadium like Chase Field were the Dbacks play where more fans can attend.
 
Today's Los Angeles Times sports section has a story by Anthony De Leon about the Savannah team. Did the headline writer really think "THEY'VE GONE BANANAS" was clever and original? Oy vey! The sub-headline says: "The barnstorming team from Savannah, Georgia, has strong fan appeal, and it shows in ticket prices higher than those for Dodgers-Yankees."
 
They're coming to Coors Field in June, not sure if I'll be able to make that one. But that should be a good time.

Bettor banned for heckling Olympic star Thomas

FanDuel has banned a bettor who posted a video of himself heckling Gabby Thomas at a recent track event and claimed "it made my parlay win."

I mean it stands to reason that sports betting isn't the brightest thing you can do anyway, but being a raging asshole on top of it just makes it that much worse!

I saw one of their games live once. They were losing and thought they would come back and win in the last inning, kind've like the old Globetrotter cartoons, but they didn't.
Sometimes I watch on HBO Max for an inning or two, just like I do for Apple Friday night baseball

Thank You very much Aaron. The new quarterback can't throw but was running like crazy. It was like watching 2nd graders on the playground. I was happy
 
Today is conference championship day in college football which already ends the regular season. #1 and #2 Ohio State and Indiana are in the Big 10 championship, probably the only game I will check out. Next is the playoff selection on Sunday who will be in
 
Close game. Indiana leads Ohio State 13-10 in 3rd quarter.
First time Ohio State has been behind in 3rd quarter all season
