Somewhere in 2002, he talked about a girl who wanted to be tied up, so he finally got a chance to tie her up and walk out of the room (like he always said he would do) - then explained how lame it was and he just untied her and did things as usual.

That girl should have put a little hawk tuah on his hang low. He coulda had a STRONG pimp hand!

...Stern Show Then And Now.

Go into the Howard Stern section of the app. There's a special called "Hello Lovers" which is all sorts of Flirty G stuff, Ronnie sex tips and a lot more.

It begins with Bruce Springsteen singing and Gary talking about losing lovers and best friends.

One of the things the show got right was not to air old episodes straight through until Master Tape Theatre became a thing. When those late-night shows are off, it's always whatever episode in its entirety.

It doesn't matter so much now because of streaming apps, but why the late-night shows air old episodes in their entirety is anyone's guess. Why do we get jokes from 3-4 weeks ago? Why can't Friday shows be the guests from that week and then vacation weeks be random guests/bands mixed in with the B-block stuff that comes between the monologue and first guest? I can see why they wouldn't want to air stuff from 4-5 years ago, but that would be fun too.

Now on the SiriusXM app is the 4/1/2004 show where Cross & Lopez did their "Fun Without The Filth" prank.

The first song they played was one of the hottest hits from 2004: Crazy in Love by Beyonce (ft. Jay-Z).

Yeah...yikes!

If Artie wasn't such a druggie, he and Jack Black could have made one hell of a team.

My prediction of Howard being off was wrong by one week ...which means he returns a week earlier!

(I think.)

Old man showing up tomorrow. Is easter a norma week to ditch?

It's typically one week off in April, IIRC.

I had predicted next week as his week off. HOPEFULLY he's back on 4/21.

www.marksfriggin.com/old-news.htm remains a good source even after his "retirement".

I'd say the odds of him showing up tomorrow are greater than the odds of this being a two-weeker.

Hawk Tuah Girl...it's a shame Howard gave up the Sybian and the robo spanker. She'd be PRIME material for Booey's beekeeper mask to come out of hiding.

This is just my guess:

Howard will have multiple meetings over the next two months. A lot of them will involve Robin.

If Robin wants to come back in 2026, then it's easier for Howard to re-sign. If Robin is done, then Howard is.

Howard's next live day is 9/2. He's not going to announce anything on that date, BUT...if we get deep into October with no announcement, then I think the chances of him coming back increase.

Nobody can end 40-some years of a career without a huge announcement.

When he went to Sirius, everyone knew with well over a year. Not just the fans, of course, but the affiliates all needed a plan for Jan 2nd, 2006 for their on-air show, sponsors, etc etc.

UNLESS...Howard privately says he's done so the team can all have a few months to get another job. There'd probably have to be some sort of penalty if something were to leak out. It'd be near-impossible to keep the news secret.

There's a "Wet Hot Stern Show Summer" special on the app. It's prank phone calls, song parodies and all sorts of summer-related stuff. It's just under 20 minutes long.
