What if...

Part of the reason why Howard signed a three-year deal is because Robin is doing worse than we think?

Am I confused? I would think the opposite. He'd sign a deal if she's doing ok, he wouldn't if she was doing really bad.

That too.

She's probably somewhere in the middle. If she was doing really good, Howard might have been more inclined to sign for five years at three days per week.

I'm of the mindset where Howard signed because it gives Robin a spot of brightness to look forward to. If she's doing better at times, maybe that's the "flexible" part and Howard has an option to do Wednesday shows.

The "three years" piece might be because 2028 is too far off for Robin to predict what might be going on.

And the part where the staff didn't know anything until he announced? There's no way in hell Howard just walks off and leaves his staff in the dust...unless they all have written promises to be signed by Sirius. Assuming there's still a tapes team, they can stay. There's gotta be some off-air technicians and engineers who can all work on other Sirius channels. The writers? Ehh, I'm not sure.

But remember when Robin was out? All those guests were ordered to keep it quiet. There's no way in hell that Howard's staff didn't know he was back.
