That looks really good, but you're about 2 weeks late.

Speaking of which, this new girl I'm seeing is Jewish. But the weird thing is she has the same name, Brenna, as the only cousin I have that I talk to. Since it's still early (we've only gone on 1 date) I wind up thinking of my cousin every time her name comes up. It's freaking weird. She's nice though. Let's take an over/under on how long until I screw this one up. We'll set the bar at 4 months.

So there's my foodie talk of the day...totally on topic and in the appropriate thread.

This is awesome. We can supply you with information about Judaism that's 50% bullshit, and you won't know the difference.

If it gets serious and you don't screw it up, there are some serious questions you will need to answer -- particularly if you have a didn't get your little jacket taken care of as a baby.

It's sushi night!

Enjoy. You bumping this thread made me think of something...

I'm about to finish a 4 pound bag of sugar. I started it on 1.1.21. I know because I wrote the date on the bag when I opened it.

That's a whole other story btw. Hendrik used to date stuff or record various minor things in writing all the time and I'd always tell him how silly that was. Of course now I do it all the time with tons of stuff.

I only use the sugar for coffee. I use 2 heaping teaspoons for my 20 oz Contigo. It will probably be finished by the end of the month so that means I use a pound of sugar per month just for coffee. Coffee is the only drink I still use real sugar in, all the rest are that fake sugar diet crap that I've forced myself to get used to these days.

There's also a good chance my roommate used some of it, so it's probably a little less than a pound per month.

The sushi was great. I gained 2 pounds.

That seems like a LOT of sugar for 4 months.
I don't think I've been through 5 lbs in a year, and I did some baking over the holidays. Your roommate must be using some too.

I think the only thing I date is my coffee. I do it mostly out of curiosity and so I can gauge when I should put it on the shopping list.

IDK, I've always been weary of eating any sort of raw animal so I never got into sushi. I've had "cooked sushi" but that isn't really sushi, by definition.

Yea, it does seem like a lot of sugar for 4 months. Maybe the roommate uses more than I thought. I normally have 1-2 Contigos full of coffee per day so that's either 2 or 4 heaping teaspoons.

I suppose you don't do raw oysters, clams, or cherrystones?

I think I tried oysters once but I'm not 100% on that. Never had a clam (unless you count those attached to a woman, then I've eaten plenty of those raw) and I had to look up what cherrystones were so never had them either.

What are those black shellfish that are less circular and more elongated? My mom used to talk about collecting them down the shore when she was a kid.
