It's actually near the bottom of my favorites list. To me, it sounds like an obvious attempt to make a radio friendly Rush song. It's the one song from Moving Pictures I'd skip, and then flip to side 2. But as they say, YMMV.

I'm with Hectic on that one.. Limelight is one of my favorites Rush tunes.

Like limelight too. Tom Sawyer is better.
Favourite rush song is Spirit of Radio.

Spirit of Radio is a good song.
They have many awesome songs. Most of Moving Pictures should be played in one sitting.
I'll listen to Moving Pictures from start to finish. The whole thing is killer in my book. The hook and drive of Limelight work for me. For as much as I love the complex tunes, it's like anything else, a good straight ahead rock and roll tune just scratches the itch.

I am not a fan of this song but it is played a fair bit for a non Top 40 song.
Not sure I can trust billboard.com (as explained in several of my earlier posts) but it seems it peaked at #93 in 1985, then #65 in 1988? Couldn't tell you why (if this is in fact true)

I think they did 1980 in February, had lots of the same songs (going down now, up then). Not that big a deal except the VJs used the same stories for a couple of them. Mark Goodman did almost the same verbatim story of Cars as the VJ who introduced it in February did. A couple other stories were similar.
