Love the song. Stupid video. Most of the late 70s, early 80s Stones videos are just Mick dancing around like an idiot.
It's the only Stones song my wife likes. She doesn't dislike the others like John Cougar Mellencamp so I can still listen but she is not a Stones fan at all.
After Mick had his heart surgery (or whatever it was) a few years ago, they posted a video of him practicing/rehearsing/whatever it was his dance moves. He was even in a big dance studio room with mirrored walls and whatnot.
I found it pretty funny that he practices that. I always thought those were just subconscious gyrations took him over when he was into the music.
I know when I’m playing it looks like I have the palsy, so I have no right to criticize, but.....
As soon as I read that, I knew you were referring to the Stones song. I don't like it either.
This album was a big deal, their first release in a long time, and a modernization of their sound. I was really into it.

I'm not hip to the history of Moody. Was Octave one of those "didn't make an impact" albums so it felt like Voyager came next after Soujorn?
If there's an expert here, I'd welcome their input. But from my perspective, your assessment is correct. I don't recall the album Octave, or the songs from it. My guess is that it was overwhelmed by the Saturday Night Fever craze.
I have a few of those occurrences where I go "Wait... they released an album between those two?"
Octave doesn't seem to have made as big an impact in the US or Canada. And I don't recognize the lead single by title (the rest I do recognize)

For me, my knowledge of the Moodies was "Knights in White Satin" which I am indifferent too and their 80s stuff: "Long Distance Voyager" ["Gemini Dream" ***** (#400 in my 437) and "The Voice"] and their 1986 release "The Other Side of Life" ["Your Wildest Dreams"

There's a bunch of stuff missing/incorrect from this list. Days of Future Passed was released in '67, not '72. It also has the song Tuesday Afternoon, which is a big AOR standard and reached #24 on Hot 100.
1968's In Search of the Lost Chord has Ride My See-Saw, another big AOR hit.
1970's A Question of Balance had the #21 hit Question.
1971's Every Good Boy Deserves Favour had the #23 hit The Story in Your Eyes.
You are right about the hit (I'm Just a Singer...) from their 1973 album, but it's Seventh Sojourn, not Southern Sojourn (they're British).
And you're right about Octave. As you can see, they had a constant flow of hits from '67 to '73, and then more big success with Voyager, so Octave goes unnoticed.
