Fastball: That's a great song, I believe they're a 2-hit wonder.365. The Way - Fastball

A nice story song. My understanding it was at least loosely based upon an actual event. A couple just up and disappeared.

I still find it hard to believe this song was written by Neil Diamond. I have heard his version. Completely different.
363. Angel - Sarah McLachlan
This song kind of attached itself to the death of one of my dogs. Still cool song.

Comedian Kathleen Madigan calls this song "the saddest song ever written on Earth".

WOW! My first time hearing it. Other disco songs hear this and go "Dayyyyyum! That's so disco!" LOL I may have to download it for the next time I'm on a a late 70s/early 80s disco/funk kick myself.
More than likely licensing. Same reason Eddy Grant's "Electric Avenue" isn't available on Apple Music OR Spotify. The only available version from ITunes is a cover version by PMC Allstars. It's ok but not as good. Not sure why the original has not been made available.
I am only going by the markers on the youtube video. Always possible the movie was/is fake.I always loved the Mike + The Mechanics stuff. Especially this one.
Another big 80's production song.
I always thought the video was just it's own mini-movie. I didn't know there were bits from an actual movie mixed in. Apparently, there isn't very much of a connection between the two.
This is one of those songs (like Safety Dance) that is a brilliant example of a pop hit, and I do enjoy it. However, at the time, watching this inane, prehistoric song rocket to #1 was a sure sign of the downfall of society.356. My Sharona - The Knack
