I don't see any posts from you there. That's just a kind of a index page or something.

It shows the names of who was logged on to the site at the time that page was archived. One of those names was among the "Nasty Triumvirate" who spent much of their time on the political forum viciously attacking everyone who disagreed with them about anything. After XMFan shut down, one of the members created a SiriusXMFans page on Facebook.

On December 18, after kingchuck posted the news that Chic vocalist Alfa Anderson had died, I wrote that Le Freak "went to number one on the Hot 100 and the R&B chart in December 1978. Rodgers, who co-wrote the song with Edwards, knew it would never get played on radio with the original chant of "F*** off!" – so he changed it to "Freak out!"

Now I know IRBS, Jon and JHDK don't pay much attention to what I write. Either that, or they each have a poor memory. :p
Maybe you only said that on the third or fourth edit so we missed it.

(In all honesty I have no idea where I heard that fact -- for me its just part of my music lore.)

For three semesters I was news editor of El Vaquero, the weekly newspaper of Glendale College. For two years I wrote a weekly outdoors column for the Montrose Ledger. For 13 years I wrote a daily column of radio history, music trivia and celebrity birthdays for the LARadio website. (It shut down in 2023 following the death of its founder.) Since 1991 I've written a monthly column for the radio fanzine DecalcoMania.

That explains why my writing style is often formal, proper and educational. It also explains why, when I find mistakes or typos in things I've written, I often delete, correct and re-post them.
Which wastes my time because each time you do it it gives me a notification of new material and then I see the same post again and get annoyed.

The Wayback Machine Internet Archive has more than 10,000 URLs for XMFan. Many of them go to pictures that were posted. Many go to a page that says "The selected attachment does not exist anymore." Many just return to the Wayback Machine home page. I'm trying to find some of my posts. No luck yet. I think I made more than 25,000. Surely some of them must be there.

If DRC ever gets shut down, which by the way we can't let that happen. One of us will just start paying for it but in the horrible event that it does happen....

I like the idea that the wayback machine has like 900 posts about a Philly Dutchman's penis.

Me posting about my dick should definitely be saved in the wayback machine for posterity for future generations to enjoy.

I found my username from a topic which I had posted most recent in. And I found one:

The XMFan site shut down in 2020 but the XMFan Store still exists. It says, "$5.99 flat-rate ground shipping charge on any order to the lower 48 states." Hawai'i is our southernmost state. The "lower 48" is every state except Alaska and Minnesota. Or maybe they mean the contiguous 48 states. Dummies!

You don't get a topic in the unread posts list? That is where it shows up. A new unread post.
I see sub-forums with a green "new" tag. Then I go into there, and the new threads are bolded. I know there's a "latest posts" panel on the right, but I don't need to look at it much.

There have been a few times where I saw that Channel98 made a new post, and I go to the post; and then later, I go back and it says that same post is new. Perhaps that is due to his edits. But I'm not getting notified in real-time. It's only when I go back to the site, or refresh the page, that I'd see that.
